Training Camp Schedule
The Saskatoon Blades are set to open 2017-18 training camp this Saturday, August 26th at SaskTel Centre. Players will be reporting to the rink Saturday morning for registration, measurements, and photos at 10:00am, followed by fitness testing and on-ice sessions later in the day.
The camp will feature 37 forwards, 28 defensemen, and 8 goaltenders. The players will be split into four teams which will then compete for the 2nd annual Kirkness Cup.
Competition between the four teams will begin immediately with fitness testing Saturday afternoon at the brand new Elite Pro Proformance Centre. Small area games are next on the docket for Saturday evening at SaskTel Centre beginning with Team Holtby taking on Team Clark at 4:00pm. Training Camp rosters will be announced later in the week.
Full scrimmages will then get underway Sunday morning at 9:00am with the final game for the Kirkness Cup slated for 3:45pm on Monday afternoon.
The annual locker room sale is taking place Sunday from 9:00am – 6:00pm. Fans can also take advantage of clearance prices for last year’s merchandise while getting a sneak peek of the new store items for the upcoming season.
Ice sessions are open to the public all weekend and admission is free at SaskTel Centre.
