The Clear Lake, MB. native suited up for 211 career WHL games in a Pac Man sweater, becoming a fan-favourite in four full seasons with the club. Robins enjoyed two 33-goal campaigns in both the 2019-20 and 2021-22 season, achieving both in 62 games. Drafted in the fourth-round by the Regina Pats in 2016, Robins came to the Bridge City and graduated from the WHL with 85 goals and 200 points in his career.
At the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, the 5-foot-11 forward was drafted by the Sharks in the second-round, 56th overall. Robins signed with the club Jan. 1st, 2022, midway through his final major-junior season where he put up a career-best 78 points, earning him a nod for the WHL East Division Second All-Star Team.
Robins spent 63 games this year with the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda and notched 17 goals and 38 points through his first pro season.
Called up alongside fellow prospect Nikolai Knyzhov, Robins has a chance to make a remarkable first impression with the NHL club who sit near the basement of the standings with a 22-41-16 record. Robins is expected to suit up in his first WHL game Monday night when they visit his hometown team the Winnipeg Jets.
