Blades alumnus Armstrong signs pro deal with ECHL’s Gladiators
Atlanta, GA – Former Saskatoon Blades forward Easton Armstrong has signed a one-year contract with the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL. It’s the Denver, CO product’s first career pro contract.
Armstrong suited up for one season with the Blue and Gold, becoming a fan-favourite in his short tenure with the team. The 6-foot-3 winger was acquired by Saskatoon on Oct. 10, 2023 and scoring a career-high 56 points (34G, 22A) in 62 games during the 2023-24 campaign. Armstrong finished third on the team in goals and powerplay goals with 12. In 11 playoff games, the 21-year-old forward scored six goals and added eight assists during the Blades’ run to Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final.
The right-handed shot played in 210 career WHL games between the Blades, Wenatchee Wild, Winnipeg ICE, and the Regina Pats.
