Tye Kartye First Career Goal
TYE KARTYE (SAULT STE. MARIE GREYHOUNDS):
Soo Greyhounds rookie Tye Kartye scored his first OHL goal 7:10 into the second period of Wednesday’s 7-4 win over the visiting Sudbury Wolves. Cole MacKay and Ryan O’Rourke gathered assists as Kartye got his stick on a point shot, redirecting it past Wolves netminder Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. The 17-year-old from Kingston, Ont. was playing in his 20th game of the season and now has four points (1-3–4) to his credit. Kartye was an eighth round pick of the Hounds in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection from the Greater Kingston Frontenacs Minor Midgets.
