IceDogs’ Knott signs with Blackhawks
Chicago, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Graham Knott on a three-year contract.
Knott, 19, posted 42 points (12G, 30A) in 68 regular-season games with the Ontario Hockey League’s Niagara IceDogs during the 2015-16 campaign. The 19-year-old recorded three separate five-game point streaks last season and ranked sixth on the IceDogs in points. The Holland Landing, Ontario, native added five points (2G, 3A) in 17 postseason tilts before Niagara was eliminated in the OHL Championship by the London Knights.
In three seasons with Niagara, Knott has accumulated 45 goals and 62 assists in 191 career games. He was drafted by the Blackhawks in the second round (54th overall) of the 2015 National Hockey League Draft.
