Wolves name Nathan Villeneuve as team captain

The Sudbury Wolves have named Seattle Kraken prospect Nathan Villeneuve as their 55th captain in franchise history.

The Ottawa, ON native was selected by the Wolves third overall in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection Draft before being taken by the Seattle Kraken 63rd overall in the 2024 NHL Draft. The 2024-25 season saw the two-way forward set a career-high with 70 points (34-36–70) and finish third on the Wolves in points.

Supporting Villeneuve in the leadership group are alternate captains Rowan Henderson, Kieran Walton, and Alex Pharand for the 2025-26 season.
