1ST STAR: BRETT NEUMANN (OSHAWA GENERALS) – 2G, 3A
Oshawa Generals forward Brett Neumann scored a pair of goals and tacked on three primary assists, drawing the lone helper on Serron Noel’s overtime winner as the Oshawa Generals took a 6-5 win in Barrie. The five points are a season-high for Neumann who leads the Generals with 44 points (23-21–44) over 32 games this season. The overage centreman from Toronto is in the midst of his fifth OHL season, having been acquired by Oshawa from the Kingston Frontenacs midway through last year. Neumann also went 18-for-26 in the faceoff circle on Saturday while recording four shots on goal.

2ND STAR: RILEY PIERCEY (BARRIE COLTS) – 3G, 2A
Barrie Colts sophomore forward Riley Piercey had a career night, recording his first OHL hat-trick and a single game-high five points in a 6-5 overtime loss to the Oshawa Generals. Piercey scored in the first, second and third periods while picking up assists on Barrie’s two other goals. Piercey skated on a line alongside Aidan Brown and Jason Willms, improving his point total to 13 (9-4–13) through 31 games this season. The 6-foot-3, 200Ib. native of Mississauga, Ont. was Barrie’s first round (16th overall) pick in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection from the Toronto Marlboros Minor Midgets.

3RD STAR: MAXIM GOLOD (ERIE OTTERS) – 1G, 3A
Erie Otters winger Maxim Golod started an Erie Otters comeback with a third period goal and tacked on three primary assists in a 5-4 win over visiting Niagara. Golod set up Elias Cohen 5:12 into the first period before chipping in on late third period goals by Austen Swankler and Connor Lockhart. The 19-year-old from Concord, Ont. has 44 points (14-30–44) over 33 games this season, with Saturday’s four-point tally marking a season-high. The former 13th round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection attended training camp with the Philadelphia Flyers in September.
