Sunday Highlights: Pinelli’s hat-trick helps 67’s end slide
Ottawa 67’s 6 at Sudbury Wolves 3
- 67’s captain Luca Pinelli was off to a hot start, scoring two within the first five minutes of play to give Ottawa an early lead, he then completed the hat-trick later on in the third period.
- Nic Whitehead scored another for Ottawa extending their lead to three, but Alex Pharand quickly answered back to get the Wolves on the board.
- Two more second period goals by Ottawa’s Josh Brady and Will Gerrior gave Ottawa a four goal advantage heading into the third.
- Lucas Di Giantommaso scored two for the Wolves in the third period to minimize Ottawa’s lead, but it wasn’t enough.
- 67’s goaltender Collin Mackenzie made 42 saves on 45 shots in the win as the 67’s snapped a seven-game slide.

Kingston Frontenacs 6 at North Bay Battalion 2
- Luke McNamara opened the scoring for the Frontenacs in the first period.
- McNamara’s second of the night, as well as another from Tyler Hopkins extended Kingston’s lead to two in the second period.
- Owen Van Steensel scored two to pick up the Battalion, but three more from Tuomas Uronen (2) and Jacob Battaglia solidified the 6-2 win for the Fronts.

London Knights 5 at Sarnia Sting 2
- Landon Sim and Denver Barkey both scored in the first period, giving the Knights a 2-0 lead heading into the second frame.
- Casey Bridgewater scored his first career OHL goal to get Sarnia on the board in the second period.
- Easton Wainwright netted another for the Sting, but goals from Landon Sim, Evan Van Gorp, and Easton Cowan proved to be the difference makers in the 5-2 Knights win.
- Cowan extends his regular season point streak to 44 games.
- San Jose Sharks prospect Sam Dickinson had three assists on the afternoon.
- Austin Elliott made 21 saves in the win.
Owen Sound Attack 4 at Saginaw Spirit 5 SO
- Graydon Jones scored his first OHL goal to open up the scoring for Saginaw.
- Antonio Tersigni answered back for the Attack, netting two in a row to make it a 2-1 game heading into the second period; Tersigni would score his first OHL hat-trick.
- Late goals from Saginaw’s Carson Harmer, Michael Misa, and Graydon Jones tied things back up for the Spirit to send it to overtime and inevitably a shootout.
- Shootout goals from Calem Mangone and Sebastien Gervais, plus a great performance in net by Kaleb Papineau in his OHL debut helped the Spirit get back in the win column.
- Carter George made 42 saves to help the Attack earn a point despite their sixth straight loss.

Peterborough Petes 5 at Oshawa Generals 7
- This one went back and forth through all three periods, with Luca Marrelli opening things up for Oshawa and Francis Parish scoring his first career OHL goal for the Petes.
- Aiden Young and Beckett Sennecke both netted hat-tricks for their respective teams.
- Winnipeg Jets prospect Colby Barlow netted two in the 7-5 Generals win.
- Oshawa outshot Peterborough 38-17.

Brampton Steelheads 10 at Guelph Storm 1
- Brampton came out hot, scoring five quick in the first period to stun the Storm.
- Adam Zidlicky scored a natural hat-trick for the Steelheads.
- The Steelheads went on to score 10 total, with pairs of goals from Luke Misa, and Porter Martone, as well as others from Lucas Karmiris, Jack Van Volsen, and Kieran Witowski,
- Dawson Morris scored Guelph’s lone goal – his first career OHL marker.
- Jack Ivankovic had a big night in net, making 39 saves on 40 shots in the win.
- Jett Luchanko made his season debut for Guelph after returning from the Philadelphia Flyers.
