Storm prospect Andrew Baker named GOHL Prospect of the Week

TORONTO – The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) today announced that Guelph Storm prospect Andrew Baker of the Chatham Maroons is the GOHL Prospect of the Week, producing two goals, six assists and eight points in a pair of victories.

Baker opened the season with a goal and two assists in Chatham’s 4-1 road win over the London Nationals on Saturday. He followed that up with five points (1-4–5) as the Maroons defeated the Komoka Kings 6-2 in their home opener on Sunday.

A 17-year-old from Woodslee, Ont., Baker was Guelph’s 2025 ninth round (165th overall) pick from the Sun County Panthers AAA program, where he won ALLIANCE championships in 2024 and 2025. He was the PJCHL Stobbs Division Rookie of the Year in 2025-26, producing 34 points (13-21–34) over 42 contests with the Essex 73’s.
