Sting sign Import selection Ruslan Karimov
Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca announced this morning that the hockey club has signed 6’0”, 192-pound forward Ruslan Karimov to an Ontario Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Chosen sixth overall, Seca used the Sting’s first-round pick to select 17-year-old left shooting winger Ruslan Karimov from the Kazan Irbis team in the Molodyozhnaya Hokkeinaya Liga (MHL).
Through the 2023-2024 regular season and 25 games played for team Almetievsk, Ruslan tallied 13 goals and 9 assists for a total of 22 points.
On signing the forward, Seca shared:
“We are thrilled to announce the commitment from Ruslan to our hockey club. He’s a player we believe will have significant impact on our roster for next three seasons.”
