Sting sign defenceman Jack Bodin
Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca announced this morning that the hockey club has signed 18-year-old right shooting defenceman Jack Bodin to an Ontario Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement.
With the 72nd pick in the second round of the CHL Import Draft, the Sting selected Jack Bodin of the Orebro HK J20 from the J20 Nationell.
Bodin tallied six goals and six assists during the 2023-2024 regular season and also represented Sweden in multiple international tournaments including the 2022-2023 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge where he was named team captain.
On inking the 6-foot-3, 214lb. blueliner, Seca commented, “Jack is a player we believe will really solidify our D core for the next two seasons, he’s a leader, has lots of international experience and we believe his game will flourish on the smaller ice surface in North America.”
