The Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League announced today that the organization have signed Dylan Smoskowitz and Marty Williamson to contract extensions, ensuring both will continue to lead the hockey operations department for years to come.

President of Hockey Operations John Winstanley made the announcement, citing the stability and continuity both leaders have brought to the organization.

“We are extremely excited to announce the extensions of our Head Coach Dylan Smoskowitz as well as Vice President and General Manager Marty Williamson,” said Winstanley. “Both have played an important role in establishing the culture, standards, and direction of our hockey program, and we believe strongly in their ability to continue moving this organization forward. Stability and continuity are important as we build for sustained success,” Winstanley continued. “We want our players, staff, and fans to know that we have a clear vision for where we are going, and these two individuals are a major part of that vision. We have a tremendous amount of confidence in their leadership, their commitment to our players, and their ability to build a winning environment both on and off the ice.”

Smoskowitz and Williamson have been fixtures of the Colts organization in recent years. Smoskowitz, a former Colts forward from 2010 to 2012, rejoined the club as Assistant Coach in 2021 before being promoted to Head Coach in 2025. Williamson, who first coached the Colts from 2004 to 2010, returned to the organization in 2020 as General Manager and Head Coach before transitioning to his current role as Vice President and General Manager in 2025.

Smoskowitz and Williamson will continue in their respective roles as the organization builds toward its goals for the upcoming season.
