Generals sign Flyers prospect Noah Powell from Ohio State University
Oshawa, ON – The Oshawa Generals have signed 19-year-old free agent forward Noah Powell to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Powell, from Northbrook, Illinois, was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the fifth round of the 2024 NHL Draft. He is joining the Generals from the Ohio State Buckeyes men’s hockey program where he collected five points (2-3–5) in 17 games this season.
“We are very excited to add a player like Noah,” said Generals Vice President and General Manager Roger Hunt. “He is a player that knows how to score, he has real speed and an elite work ethic.”
Before playing at Ohio State, Powell spent two seasons with the USHL’s Dubuque Fighting Saints, recording 51 goals, 42 assists and 93 points over 114 regular season games.
