Sean Reid works record-setting 1,109th OHL regular season contest
The Ontario Hockey League is pleased to congratulate long-time referee Sean Reid on making OHL history Friday night in Ottawa, skating in his 1,109th career regular season game – a new league record.
Reid worked alongside fellow referee Blake Beer and linesmen Spencer Knox and Justin Noble as the Oshawa Generals defeated the Ottawa 67’s 3-2 at TD Place.
Reid, who is from Ottawa, worked his 1,000th career contest on April 15, 2022. The OHL’s longest tenured official is in the midst of his 25th season and has worked a total of four Memorial Cups as well as 14 OHL Championship Series in his career.
