OHL Power Rankings: Oct. 20, 2025
Who’s up:
Brantford Bulldogs – up one spot to #1 this week
The Bulldogs are on top of the pile for the first time since the preseason edition was released, defeating the Brampton Steelheads on back-to-back nights while outscoring them 16-6. Minnesota Wild prospect Adam Benak is the Cogeco OHL Player of the Week, and leads the OHL in scoring with 19 points (4-15–19) over eight games.
Kingston Frontenacs – up one spot to #6 this week
The Fronts came out flat against the Ottawa 67’s on Friday, being limited to just 13 shots. They responded well though, soundly defeating the Oshawa Generals 7-1 before striking back against Ottawa with a 4-2 road win on Sunday. Vancouver Canucks prospect Kieren Dervin has been productive offensively, leading the club with 13 points (6-7–13).
London Knights – up one spot to #8 this week
The Knights are finding their stride, winning five in a row before dropping Sunday’s matchup against the Kitchener Rangers by a score of 3-2 in overtime. Los Angeles Kings prospect Jared Woolley has points in seven of his eight games so far this season, producing at more than a point-per-game.
Oshawa Generals – up one spot to #11 this week
The Generals had a busy four-game week, defeating the top-ranked Windsor Spitfires on Thanksgiving Monday before a pair of seven-goal losses at the hands of Peterborough and Kingston. The Gennies struck back against the Petes on Sunday night, skating to a 6-4 win, featuring two goals and an assist from Owen Griffin.
Flint Firebirds – up three spots spot to #13 this week
The Firebirds are winners of four straight, with back-to-back victories over the rival Saginaw Spirit over the weekend. Mason Vaccari is enjoying a successful overage season in Flint, posting a 5-1-1-0 record with a 2.93 goals-against average and .912 save percentage through seven games.
Peterborough Petes – up one spot to #16 this week
The Petes defeated both Oshawa and Ottawa at home before dropping a 6-4 loss on Sunday night against the Generals. NHL Draft prospect Adam Novotny has scored in five straight games while Easton Rye was solid in the crease, turning aside 49-of-53 shots last weekend.
Who’s down:
Windsor Spitfires – down one spot to #2 this week
The Spits had a battle on their hands against the Sarnia Sting, winning in overtime on Friday before losing at home on Saturday. Windsor had previously lost in overtime to the Oshawa Generals on Thanksgiving Monday.
Ottawa 67’s – down one spot to #7 this week
The 67’s had been cruising along pretty well, but hit some resistance in Peterborough and at home to Kingston. They’ll face their next test on the road next weekend with stops in Windsor, London and Guelph.
Niagara IceDogs – down one spot to #9 this week
The IceDogs split a home-and-home against Erie. NHL Draft prospect Braidy Wassilyn got on the board with his first goal of the 2025-26 season after returning from injury.
Barrie Colts – down one spot to #12 this week
The Colts have lost five in a row, dropping both ends of a home-and-home against North Bay.
Brampton Steelheads – down one spot to #14 this week
The Trout were outpaced in back-to-back matchups against Brantford before responding with a 7-2 win over the Erie Otters on Sunday. Josh Avery has been a nice addition, recording nine points (5-4–9) over six games with the Trout.
Guelph Storm – down one spot to #15 this week
The Storm lost their first two games of the week, surrendering six goals against both Kitchener and Owen Sound. They finished strong though, beating the Attack 6-3 on Saturday in a game that saw captain Charlie Paquette get the monkey off his back with his first goal of the season.
Saginaw Spirit – down two spots and off the list this week
The Spirit have been an intriguing team to keep tabs on early this season but lost in Sault Ste. Marie on Wednesday before back-to-back one-goal losses against rival Flint. They look to get back in the win column with home dates against Erie and Owen Sound next weekend.
