Today, we’re clearing the runway and taking a closer look at the Jets’ OHL prospects ready for takeoff.
Edison Engle (D) – Brantford Bulldogs (2023-25)
Selected: 6th Round, 188th Overall (2025)
OHL Career Stats: N/A
Age: 18
After a season and a half in the USHL with the Des Moines Buccaneers & Dubuque Fighting Saints, where he recorded 17 points (2-15–17) across both clubs, Edison Engle recently signed with the Brantford Bulldogs and will play in the OHL during the 2025-26 season before heading to Ohio State University for the 2026-27 season.
Jacob Cloutier (RW) – Saginaw Spirit (2023-25)
Selected: 7th Round, 220th Overall (2025)
OHL Career Stats: 71 GP, 24 G, 24 A, 48 PTS, +14
Age: 18
With the 200th overall pick, the Winnipeg Jets selected Jacob Cloutier in the seventh round. The Ottawa, Ont., native posted an impressive 47 points (23-24-47) in 67 games as a key member of the top-six forward group in Saginaw, finishing fourth in scoring among OHL rookies. Cloutier was named to the OHL’s Second All-Rookie Team.
Kevin He (LW) – Niagara IceDogs (2022-25)
Selected: 4th Round, 109th Overall (2024)
OHL Career Stats: 192 GP, 88 G, 74 A, 162 PTS, -42
Age: 19
Playing in his third season with the IceDogs, Kevin He broke out offensively in 2024-25 as captain. He had 75 points (36-39–75) in 62 regular-season games and added five more points in as many postseason appearances.
Kieron Walton (LW) – Sudbury Wolves (2022-25)
Selected: 6th Round, 187th Overall (2024)
OHL Career Stats: 177 GP, 64 G, 84 A, 148 PTS, -15
Age: 19
Finishing his third season with the Sudbury Wolves, Kieron Walton led the team in goals (38), assists (54), and points (92) in 66 games. The 6-foot-6 forward recently signed a three-year entry-level contract and joined the Manitoba Moose of the AHL for the remainder of their season, where he appeared in four games and posted his first assist.
Colby Barlow (LW) – Owen Sound Attack (2021-24), Oshawa Generals (2024-25)
Selected: 1st Round, 18th Overall (2023)
OHL Career Stats: 230 GP, 148 G, 97 A, 245 PTS, +21
Age: 20
Traded to Oshawa for the 2024-25 season, Colby Barlow put up 61 points (32-29–61) in 62 games and then erupted for 33 points (14-19–33) in 21 playoff contests. He helped lead the Generals to their second straight OHL Finals and is expected to debut with the Moose this fall.
Jacob Julien (C) – London Knights (2022-25)
Selected: 5th Round, 146th Overall (2023)
OHL Career Stats: 172 GP, 49 G, 99 A, 148 PTS, +51
Age: 20
After an untraditional route to the NHL draft scene, Jacob Julien wore the ‘A’ for London in 2024-25 and posted 54 points (11-43–54) in 65 regular-season games, adding 23 points (8-15–23) during the Knights’ Memorial Cup-winning playoff run. He’ll join the Moose in the fall.
Danny Zhilkin (C) – Guelph Storm (2019-23), Kitchener Rangers (2022-23)
Selected: 3rd Round, 77th Overall (2022)
OHL Career Stats: 186 GP, 59 G, 67 A, 126 PTS, -19
Age: 21
In his sophomore season with the Moose, Danny Zhilkin battled a knee injury and played in only 53 games, during which he produced 10 points (3-7–10) and 14 penalty minutes.
Dom DiVincentiis (G) – North Bay Battalion (2021-24)
Selected: 7th Round, 207th Overall (2022)
OHL Career Stats: 117 GP, 2.68 GAA, .907 SV%, 77-26-6-2
Age: 21
Splitting his rookie pro season between the Moose and the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals, Dom DiVincentiis appeared in 28 AHL games with a 13-12-3 record, 2.84 GAA, and .896 SV%. He’ll push for the starting position in the AHL next season.
