Greyhounds’ Sandin signs with Maple Leafs
Toronto, ON – The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed defenceman Rasmus Sandin to a three-year entry-level contract.
Sandin, 18, was selected by the Maple Leafs with the 29th overall pick in last month’s NHL Draft. The Uppsala, Sweden native registered 45 points (12 goals, 33 assists) in 51 regular season games with Sault Ste. Marie (OHL) and added 13 points (1 goal, 12 assists) in 24 playoff games while being named to the OHL First-All Rookie Team. Internationally, Sandin has represented Sweden on multiple occasions, most recently capturing bronze at the U18 Hlinka Memorial Tournament where he recorded three assists in five games.

Sandin participated in the team’s development camp at the MasterCard Centre in Toronto this past June.
