Frontenacs sign 2023 U18 first round pick Riley Clark
Kingston, Ontario – The Kingston Frontenacs Hockey Club is excited to announce the signing of forward Riley Clark to an OHL Scholarship and Development agreement.
Riley was selected by the Frontenacs in the first round, 4th overall at the 2023 OHL U18 Priority Selection. He spent the 2023-24 season, and the start of this season with the Stouffville Spirit of the OJHL.
“Riley has worked hard and earned this opportunity” said General Manager, Kory Cooper. “He fits in well with our team identity. He plays a physical game, and we expect him to continue doing that with the Frontenacs. He has a strong 200-foot game and gives us added depth with our forward group.”
The 6’1”, 185 lbs. left shot forward was born in Toronto, ON. He had 7 goals and 12 assists in 44 games with Stouffville during the 2023-24 season but has ramped up production so far this year. Through the Spirit’s first 11 games, Riley has 3 goals and 3 assists.
Cooper continued “We love to see players taking steps, and Riley has shown that early on this season in Stouffville. This is another opportunity for him to take a step, and we think he is ready for the challenge.”
Riley and the Frontenacs will host the Sudbury Wolves on Friday night at 7 PM.
