Firebirds and Frontenacs exchange Import Draft selections in multi-pick trade
The Flint Firebirds have completed a multi-pick trade with the Kingston Frontenacs involving a significant exchange of CHL Import Draft selections and OHL Priority Selection assets.
In the transaction, Flint receives Kingston’s first-round import pick in 2026, second-round import pick in 2026, third-round import pick in 2027, Windsor’s third-round pick in 2026, and Flint’s second-round pick in 2029.
Going to Kingston are Flint’s second-round import pick in 2026, third-round import pick in 2026, first-round import pick in 2027, Brampton’s second-round pick in 2026, and Flint’s eighth-round pick in 2029.
The deal represents a major reshuffling of draft capital, with each side acquiring multiple import selections across the next two draft cycles along with additional OHL Priority Selection picks.
The OHL trade window opened on June 2 and remains open until June 11 at 3:00 p.m. ahead of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection presented by Real Canadian Superstore, which takes place June 12-13 at Slush Puppie Place in Kingston.

The 2026 OHL Priority Selection presented by Real Canadian Superstore will be held June 12-13 at Slush Puppie Place in Kingston, marking the first in-person OHL Priority Selection since 2000. Round 1 begins on June 12 at 7:00 p.m., with Rounds 2-15 taking place on June 13 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
