Bulldogs add forward Brayden Lappalainen in trade with Flint
The Brantford Bulldogs have acquired forward Brayden Lappalainen from the Flint Firebirds in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2029 OHL Priority Selection.
A native of Tecumseh, Ont., Lappalainen appeared in 49 games with the Leamington Flyers during the 2025-26 season, recording 14 goals and 21 assists for 35 points.
Selected by the Flint Firebirds in the third round (63rd overall) of the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, Lappalainen continued his development with the Flyers, establishing himself as a productive offensive contributor at the junior level.
The 2009-born, 5-foot-11, 170-pound forward adds skill and offensive upside to the Bulldogs’ prospect pool as the club continues to build for the future.
The OHL trade window opened on June 2 and remains open until June 11 at 3:00 p.m. ahead of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection presented by Real Canadian Superstore, which takes place June 12-13 at Slush Puppie Place in Kingston.
