The Windsor Spitfires drafted the Oakville, Ontario native in the 2024 OHL PS with the 1st overall pick in the draft. Belchetz led the league in scoring in the preseason with 6 goals. Ethan Belchetz, born on March 30, 2008, in Oakville, Ontario, is a promising left wing currently playing for the Windsor Spitfires. Standing 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 226 pounds, Belchetz was selected first overall by the Spitfires in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection. He began his junior career with the Hamilton Kilty B’s, recording one goal in a single game during the 2023-24 season.

In his rookie season with the Spitfires (2024-2025), Belchetz made an immediate impact, tallying 17 goals and 21 assists in 55 games. His performance earned him the OHL Rookie of the Week award twice during the season. Belchetz is considered a top prospect eligible for the 2026 NHL Entry Draft
