TAKE PART IN OUR ‘FUNRAISER’ TICKET PROGRAM
SPITFIRES ‘FUNRAISER’ TICKET PROGRAM
Our continued commitment to playing a role in the community and the fun of enjoying a Spitfires game have come together in our new Spitfires ‘Funraiser’ Ticket Program.
ANOTHER KIND OF HOSPITAL VISIT
Recently, a group of about 60 from Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital enjoyed a great night of fun at a Spitfires home game. And, while they were relaxing and cheering on our guys, they also raised some money for the HDGH Foundation.
Spitfires Coordinator of Fan Development Nathan Sellon was able to present a cheque for $300 – money raised from nothing more than a well-deserved break at a Spits game.
“The Windsor Spitfires and Hotel Dieu have always had a great relationship,” said Sellon. “Offering their hard-working employees a ticket offer to enjoy Spits action together as a group was a win-win for both organizations.”
Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital Foundation President Bill Marra says the hospital values its continuing partnership with the Spitfires.
“The organization has clearly made it part of their mandate to create collaborative partnerships with community groups,” Marra told windsorspitfires.com. “They see the value in helping ensure we are able to raise valuable funds for resources, often helping us provide things we otherwise wouldn’t be able to.”
“Besides that, going to the WFCU to see the Spitfires is always a lot of fun,” Marra added. “We were happy to provide our staff with the chance to both get out and enjoy themselves and raise some money.”
Sellon says the team is proud to offer this new and unique way to combine the fun of a Spitfires game with the gratification of raising money with valued community partners.
“We have a great program taking shape here, and I encourage any organization to take part in our ‘Funraising’ packages.”
The ‘Funraiser’ Ticket Program has already raised more than $2,700.00 with groups like HDGH, Windsor AAA Zone and the Devonshire Mall Anthem Program.
