Faksa named to first OHL All-Rookie Team
The Ontario Hockey League announced today the results of voting for the 2011-12 All-Rookie Teams. Kitchener Rangers forward Radek Faksa was named to the first All-Rookie Team.
Faksa, the Rangers’ first round pick in the 2011 CHL Import Draft, was the league’s top scoring rookie during the 2011-12 season, collecting 29 goals and 37 assists for 66 points.
Players were selected by OHL General Managers and received five points for a first place vote, three points for a second place vote, and one point for a third place vote. Faksa finished second in Rookie of the Year voting with 55 points behind only Aaron Ekblad who finished with 70 voting points.
