KITCHENER 4, OWEN SOUND 3 – OT
– Joseph Serpa scored 1:14 into overtime as the Rangers won for a second straight night.
– Pavel Cajan was the story of the game, stopping an OHL season-high 65 shots as the Rangers prevailed despite being outshot 68-29. Cajan joins Reg Bourcier (Oct. 1, 1999 vs. Erie) in making at least 60 saves in a Rangers regular season game. Luke Opilka turned aside 64 in a playoff game on March 29, 2017 vs. Owen Sound.
– Navrin Mutter scored a pair for the Blueshirts while Carson Rehkopf, Roman Schmidt and Jacob LeBlanc all had two assists.
– Deni Goure scored his 20th of the season for Owen Sound while blueliner Sam Sedley had a goal and an assist.
– Nick Chenard made 25 saves for Owen Sound, helping the Bears earn a point.
– Kitchener improves to 18-19-2-1, sitting seventh in the Western Conference.
– Owen Sound maintains a three point cushion on Kitchener, holding down sixth in the Conference with a 19-19-2-2 record.

KINGSTON 9, MISSISSAUGA 6
– The Frontenacs prevailed in a scoring marathon, scoring five third period goals as Lucas Edmonds racked up six points, the most in a single game by a Frontenacs player since Nathan Moon, who had six on October 8, 2010 against Oshawa.
– Edmonds’ two goals and four assists give him 70 points (21-49–70) in 40 games this season.
– Jordan Frasca (1-4–5), Francesco Arcuri (2-3–5) and Shane Wright (2-2–4) all got in on the scoring parade as Kingston scored nine times on 31 shots. Arcuri extended his point streak to eight games.
– Leading 5-4 headed into the third period, the Steelheads surrendered four consecutive goals as Kingston pulled away.
– Jake Uberti led Mississauga with a goal and two assists.
– The two clubs were a combined 4-for-8 on the power play.
– The Frontenacs remain within one point of first place Hamilton in the East Division headed into Sunday’s matchup against the Bulldogs. Kingston improves to 25-12-3-0.
– Mississauga has spiralled to five consecutive losses, remaining top spot in the OHL with a 28-12-1-4 record.

FLINT 5, ERIE 1
– The Western Conference-leading Flint Firebirds skated to a fifth straight win and their ninth in the past 10 games as Luke Cavallin stopped 38 of 39 shots.
– Flint’s seventh consecutive road win saw five different Firebirds find the back of the net as they won despite being outshot 39-18 on Pink in the Rink Night in Erie.
– Riley Piercey scored his 20th of the season, extending his point streak to six games while Ethan Keppen netted his 10th in 17 games this season.
– Brennan Othmann picked up a pair of assists, giving him points in five straight games.
– Amadeus Lombardi had an assist to stretch his point streak to six games, a span in which he’s put up 11 points.
– Cameron Morton provided Erie’s lone goal with 3:06 remaining in the second period.
– Cavallin earned first star honours, and remains undefeated since Jan. 16th, improving to 21-9-0-2.
– The Firebirds are now 27-14-0-2, one point ahead of the second place Soo Greyhounds in the West Division.
– Erie loses in regulation at home for the first time since Jan. 13th as the Otters hold down eighth in the Western Conference with a 17-20-1-2 record.

– The Guelph storm scored five first period goals, remaining in front of Saginaw the rest of the way as head coach George Burnett became the winningest coach in franchise history with his 165th Storm victory.
– Brayden Guy earned first star honours with two goals and an assist while Cooper Walker had a goal and two helpers and rookie Ryan McGuire lit the lamp twice.
– Dean Loukus had a goal and an assist for Saginaw while Pavel Mintyukov logged two helpers.
– Owen Bennett stopped 21 of 24 for the win while Saginaw rookie Andrew Oke made 34 saves in the loss.
– The Storm improve to 21-15-3-1 for fifth in the Western Conference.
– The Spirit drop a third straight decision, falling to 16-26-1-0, four points back off a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

– A big five-goal second period carried the Wolves to victory as Nick DeGrazia had two goals while rookies David Goyette and Kocha Delic had a goal and two assists apiece.
– Rookie defender Matthew Mania had a goal and a helper while Liam Ross and Alex Assadourian also scored.
– Barrie rookies came to play as Tai York, Ben Pickell and Beau Akey all lit the lamp.
– Mitchell Weeks made 36 saves in his hometown as the Wolves beat the Colts for the second time this season.
– Coming out of a six-game home stand, the Wolves improve to 14-24-3-2, one point back of eighth place Peterborough in the Eastern Conference.
– Barrie has lost seven in a row, falling to 20-15-4-0 and now tied for sixth in the Eastern Conference.

– The Greyhounds rebounded from being shutout on Friday, defeating the Sting 5-3 as Tyler Savard earned first star recognition with a goal and an assist.
– Rookie Marco Mignosa opened the scoring with his 11th of the season just 33 seconds into action.
– Robert Calisti blasted home his 16th of the season, the most by an OHL defenceman.
– Kalvyn Watson and Rory Kerins each recorded two assists.
– Theo Hill scored a pair of goals for Sarnia while Nolan Dann netted his 20th of the season.
– Tucker Tynan stopped 23 of 26 in the win while Sarnia’s Ben Gaudreau made 33 saves.
– The Greyhounds remain with a point of first place Flint in the Western Conference, improving to 25-14-4-1.
– Sarnia splits their weekend set in Sault Ste. Marie, falling to 16-18-3-1, one point back of Erie for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

– Windsor outshot London 30-23 and went 2-for-6 on the power play.
