Kitchener Rangers Spring Camp 2018 – Day 1 Results
Kitchener Rangers Spring Camp opened on Friday with off-ice fitness testing, a practice for Team Landeskog, then wrapped up with the first game of the weekend between Team Skinner and Team Gibson.
Team Skinner (Red) rallied from a 4-1 deficit to earn a 5-4 shootout win over Team Gibson (White). Newly signed Rangers’ first round draft pick Reid Valade led the way for Team Skinner with a goal and an assist in regulation before adding another goal in the shootout. Austin Holmes chipped in with one goal in regulation as well as another in the shootout, while Aaron Jamieson potted a goal and an assist. TJ Hughes set up three Team Skinner goals, while Carter Tresoor scored the team’s first goal of the game. Ryan O’Hara and Ben Sheppard rounded out the Team Skinner attack with an assist a piece.
Isaac Langdon countered for Team Gibson with a goal in regulation and his team’s only marker in the shootout. Dylan Winsor potted a pair of goals, while Sebastian Geraci rounded out his team’s scoring. Joseph Serpa, Curtis Shukster, Alex Dominique and Anthony Pinelli each earned single assists.
Lucas Pfeil earned the win in goal for Team Skinner, while Dalton McBride took the loss in net for Team Gibson.
Rangers Spring Camp continues Saturday with the following events open to the fans at The Aud:
