Arber Xhekaj commits to OHL Standard Player Agreement
The Kitchener Rangers announced today that defenceman Arber Xhekaj has committed to an Ontario Hockey League standard player agreement with the Club.
The 17-year-old, Hamilton, ON native was invited to this week’s Training Camp by the Rangers as a free agent after posting 22 points in 46 regular season games as a member of the GOJHL’s St. Catharines Falcons in 2017-18.
“Arber is a big body who took great strides since we saw him in Training Camp last summer,” said Rangers general manager Mike McKenzie.
“He has a physical element to his game, but is also smart with how he moves the puck. We’re pleased to have Arber and his family join the Rangers organization.”
