LAST TIME OUT
The Otters broke out the brooms for the first time this season! They earned their first weekend sweep and their first shutout!
The Otters clawed out a grizzly 4-3 road victory over the Brantford Bulldogs, scoring the game-winner late in the second period and keeping the third frame scoreless to secure the win. At home on Saturday, the Otters tamed the Barrie Colts quite thoroughly with a 4-0 shutout – the first of the season.
Erie moved up to top-five in the week’s Ontario Hockey League power rankings as a result of their success against the East.
SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS
Saturday night is our annual Military Appreciation Night (pres. by Your Central Western Pennsylvania Toyota Dealer) at the Erie Insurance Arena! The first 1500 fans to enter the arena will receive an Otters Camo Hat. The Otters will also take the ice in specialty-themed military jerseys, which will then be auctioned off to benefit Disabled American Veterans Chapter 73. This is always a powerful night to be able to thank those who served and continue to serve, and we hope you’ll join us in saluting our service members.
