DENVER BARKEY LAUNCHES “BARKEY’S BUDS”
The London Knights Official Fan Club and Knights Captain Denver Barkey proudly launches Barkey’s Buds, a program in the 2024-25 season to provide families and kids in London Housing the opportunity to attend games and be inspired! Together they have committed to seven London Housing communities this season.
“Growing up, I was fortunate to have an opportunity to play hockey and fall in love with the game. I’m now able to provide that same opportunity to kids, and that’s something special I get to do with our fan club. It’s my fourth year in London, and being able to make an impact off the ice by putting time, energy, and effort into giving kids a chance to play and watch hockey is a great way for us to give back to our community.” – Denver Barkey, Captain, London Knights
Barkey’s Buds have already welcomed two families to Knights games this year and they were so overwhelmed with joy! The kids have already asked to play hockey and they strive for great things in life. The program has also connected these kids with equipment and league opportunities. The London Knights Official Fan Club is selling Barkey’s Buds t-shirts to support these causes and create a positive environment for the families taking part.
