JONES POWERS LONDON TO A SECOND STRAIGHT WIN
A four point night from Max Jones led the London Knights to a 5-1 win over the Saginaw Spirit on Friday night.
It was London’s second win in as many nights at Budweiser Gardens after Thursday’s 5-4 comeback victory against Kitchener.
The Knights took advantage of the 20th ranked penalty killing unit in the OHL as they opened the scoring at 3:46 of the first period. Sam Miletic put the puck into the Spirit net after London had worked the puck round and round the Saginaw zone for nearly a full two minutes. Max Jones took a shot from the left point that went wide of the Saginaw net, but Miletic corralled the ricochet and slid the puck across the goal line.
