Jason Robertson Making History In The NHL
NIAGARA, ON – Niagara IceDogs alumnus, Jason Robertson, continues his impressive 2022-2023 NHL campaign with a 4 point night in a 5-1 Dallas Stars win over the Nashville Predators on April 3rd, 2023 at the American Airlines Centre in Dallas.
Robertson entered last night 3 points shy of the century mark for the 2022-2023 NHL season. He was clearly determined to reach the 100 point milestone as he ended the night with 1 goal and 3 assists, bringing his season total to 101 points. This marks the first time in Dallas Stars franchise history that a player has eclipsed the 100 point mark, putting Robertson in a league of his own. He has entered elite company this season, as only the 6th player to reach the 100 point mark, alongside of Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Nikita Kucherov, David Pastrnak and Matthew Tkachuk.
As of April 4th, 2023, this 101 point total is good for 6th in the league with 5 games remaining for the Stars. His 43 goals sits 7th in the league, alongside of his 58 assists which is good for 12th in the league.
Robertson joined the IceDogs from the Kingston Frontenacs during the 2018-2019 OHL season and tallied 79 points in 38 games in a IceDogs uniform. Robertson would lead the IceDogs to the playoffs, where they ultimately fell in the second round to the Oshawa Generals in 6 games. Following his tenure with the IceDogs he began the 2019-2020 season with the Texas Stars of the AHL and appeared in 3 NHL games for the Dallas Stars.
