IceDogs To Play Four Preseason Games
NIAGARA, ON – The Niagara IceDogs are set to play four preseason games to kickoff the 2024-2025 OHL season. They will play a total of three away games and one home game, at the Meridian Centre.
Preseason Schedule:
Sunday, September 1st – Niagara @ Peterborough, 2:05pm (Port Hope)
Friday, September 6th – Niagara @ Brantford, 7:00pm (Brantford Civic Centre)
Sunday, September 8th – Niagara vs Brantford, 2:00pm (Meridian Centre)
Saturday, September 21st – Niagara @ Windsor, 7:05pm (Lakeshore)
For the second straight year the IceDogs will meet the Petes to begin their preseason campaign as the Petes host the IceDogs with a community game in Port Hope, ON. In 2023 the IceDogs took the win on home ice in the opening game of the preseason, before the Petes hosted the IceDogs for a game in Millbrook, ON at the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre where the home side took the 3-1 win to close out the preseason for both sides.
For the middle portion of the schedule the IceDogs will participate in a home and home with the Brantford Bulldogs. The two games will stretch across three days and will begin in Brantford at the Civic Centre on the Friday the 6th, and finish on Sunday the 8th at the Meridian Centre.
The preseason will then end with a community game against the Windsor Spitfires in Lakeshore, ON. The last time these two teams met in the preseason it was the IceDogs hosting the Spitfires at the Vale Centre in Port Colborne, ON in 2022.
