IceDogs Announce 2021-2022 Season Schedule
The Niagara IceDogs have announced their schedule for the team’s 14th season in Niagara!
The team will open the 2021-2022 season on the road against the Barrie Colts on Thursday, October 7th at 7:30 pm. Fans will get their first glimpse of the team at home on Saturday, October 9th against the Oshawa Generals.
Mimicking the NHL’s regional-based structure style, the IceDogs will be playing their entire season within the Eastern Conference, with the exception of 6 games against the Erie Otters.
“The League chose to return to play this year with a schedule that would provide all teams the optimum opportunity for success,” said OHL Commissioner David Branch. “We largely modeled the structure of games after the NHL this season, consisting of mainly regional play along with reduced travel and costs.”
