Oshawa Generals sign Kane Cloutier
Oshawa, ON – The Oshawa Generals have signed the first overall pick from the 2026 OHL Priority Selection Draft, Kane Cloutier, to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Cloutier spent last season with the Vaughan Kings U16 AAA team, where he collected 58 points in 33 games, including 32 goals on route to helping his team win the GTHL. In the OHL Cup Kane played four games, scoring six goals while adding five assists for 11 points.
“It’s great to get Kane officially signed to be a General,” said GM Roger Hunt. “Kane embraces and wants all the same things that we do. He wants to get into the playoffs and win a championship. That’s how he is wired, and that is how he is driven.”
As the Gens look to bounce back, it is this attitude that is going to help drive the change, not only on the ice but in the locker room as well.
GensNation has another player to watch out for as the season progresses; Kane is a skilled, dynamic forward that will add a lot to the Generals.
“I know that our fans are excited to see Kane in a Gens uniform and get his Oshawa Generals career underway,” added Hunt.
