Oshawa, Ont., – This season, the Oshawa Generals, in partnership with local Desjardin Agents, are relaunching the Healthcare Hero program as the Hometown Hero program.
At every single home game this season the Oshawa Generals and Desjardins Agents want to invite and celebrate a local hero from the Oshawa and or Durham Region Community, alongside their friends and family. This hero can be celebrated for anything they do that gives back to their hometown. Whether its a teacher buying supplies or dedicating extra time to their students, a long-serving crossing guard, or simply someone who pays it forward, we want to celebrate the GOOD that is Oshawa and the Durham Region. We recognize that every story is different, and that impacts are felt in different ways.
We want YOU to be as much a part of this celebration as ever. In the form below, nominate someone you feel deserves to be celebrated this season! All 34 of our selected heroes will be given six (6) tickets to an Oshawa Generals home game, as well as a special surprise at the game!
Nominations are open right now and will remain open for the duration of the 2021-2022 season, giving you the opportunity to honour a hero all year long.
Heros will be chosen following a review of the reasons they were nominated.
