Firebirds Sell All Inaugural Opening Night Seats 44 Days in Advance

Flint, Mich. – The Flint Firebirds are pleased to announce that all seats for the club’s inaugural opening night on Sept. 26 vs. the Saginaw Spirit are sold out and that standing room only tickets are now available.
The announcement comes 44 days prior to the initial puck drop thanks to Firebirds Sponsor, Dort Federal Credit Union who purchased the last handful of single seats remaining earlier this morning.
Firebirds team president, Costa Papista stated: “The response to our public on-sale was incredible. Selling out our Opening Night seats in one week is a great indicator of community support for our project. We believe that Flint and Genesee County sports fans are truly ready to embrace the Ontario Hockey League.”
Puck drop for the historic event at the newly named Dort Federal Event Center (capacity 4,400) is at 7:30 p.m. on the last Saturday in September and will be the first of four home contests against the in-state rival this season.
