Sam Hillebrandt Invited to US World Junior Camp
Sam Hillebrandt has been named to the US National World Junior Camp!
The Riverview, FL native is currently in his second season with the Colts after signing as a free agent last season. The 6.01 and 170lb goaltender has appeared in 15 games this season registering a 3.13 GAA and a .904 SAV%. Hillebrandt was named OHL Goaltender of the Week on October 30th which saw him record a .971 SAV& and 1.00 GAA over the two victories.
Hillebrandt attended the US National Goaltending Camp this past May in Plymouth, MI and will be attending the US National World Junior Team camp December 14-16 in Plymouth, MI. Hillebrandt is one of three goaltenders attending the camp.
The last time a member of the Colts played for the US World Junior team was Erik Reitz in 2002 while the last Colts goaltender to play in the tournament was Mackenzie Blackwood with Team Canada in 2016.
