The Ontario Hockey League proudly announces that 52 OHL players have been listed by NHL Central Scouting in their Final Rankings for the 2015 NHL Draft which takes place June 26-27 in Florida. 

The 52 players includes 46 skaters of the 210 ranked by NHL Central Scouting in North America while six of the 30 goaltenders ranked are also from the OHL.  The 52 players represents over 20% of all players ranked by NHL Central Scouting and joins the collective 156 players ranked from across the Canadian Hockey League.

Six of the top 14 ranked North American prospects are from the OHL led by forward Connor McDavid of the Erie Otters at number one, followed by teammate and OHL top scorer Dylan Strome at number four.  Lawson Crouse of the Kingston Frontenacs is ranked fifth overall, followed by Mitchell Marner of the London Knights at six, Pavel Zacha of the Sarnia Sting is listed eighth, and Travis Konecny of the Ottawa 67’s appears at number 14.  The top ranked North American goaltender is Mackenzie Blackwood of the Barrie Colts.

The Owen Sound Attack lead the way with six players represented on the list, followed by the Belleville Bulls with five players, then four teams with four players each including the Colts, Knights, 67’s, and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

53 OHL players were listed in NHL Central Scouting’s Midterm Rankings released in January, while 41 players from the OHL were selected in the 2014 NHL Draft including 10 players selected in the first round.
