Videotron Player of the Week | Joseph Henneberry (January 15, 2024)
The most recent Videotron Player of the Week is Victoriaville Tigres forward Joseph Henneberry. The 19-year-old from Halifax, Nova Scotia scored five times and added three assists while the Tigres went 2-1-0-0 on their trip through the Maritimes.
On Thursday night in Charlottetown, the Tigres squad kicked off its road trip on a positive note and Henneberry found the scoresheet, scoring a late third period marker in a 6-3 Victoriaville triumph over the Islanders.
The following night in Bathurst was one to remember for the third-year veteran. Locked in an offensive showdown with his former club, Henneberry posted a career night, his four goals and three assists paving the way for a wild 8-7 overtime win over the Titan. Named the game’s second star, Henneberry also recorded a +4 rating. He would be held off the scoreboard for the first time in a Tigres uniform on Saturday night in a 2-1 loss to the Saint John Sea Dogs.
Acquired by Victoriaville from the Titan on the day of the 2024 QMJHL trade deadline, Henneberry’s big week has vaulted him into ninth in league scoring with 50 points in 43 games. He attended NHL training camp with the San Jose Sharks last fall.
