Chicoutimi hold off Cats for 2-0 series lead
Chicoutimi Saguenéens scored four second period goals and held on to defeat the Wildcats 5-4 at the Avenir Centre for a 2-0 series lead.
Alex Mercier led the Moncton offence with two goals, with others to Oscar Plandowski and Miles Müller, who brought the Cats to within one goal at 18.28 of the third period. Etienne Morin assisted on three Wildcat markers.
The Cats lost Yoan Loshing and Vincent Collard in the third period after major penalties and game misconducts.
The Sags outshot the Cats 39-33 with Remi Delafontaine and Jacob Steinman in goal.
