Cats look to even series Saturday night in Game 2
First Star Remi Delafontaine turned aside 39 shots in Game 1 as Chicoutimi took a 1-0 series lead and grabbed home ice advantage.
Émile Duquet potted 2 goals including an empty-netter that sealed the victory. Craig Armstrong (1G, 1A) also had a 2-point night.
Game 1 was a chippy affair with 13 minor penalties. Game 2 goes Saturday night back at the Avenir Centre, the Cats needing a win before heading off to Chicoutimi for games 3, 4 & 5.
