Registration is now open for the 2026 Cats Cup on Sunday, September 27! The tournament is open to children ages 5-10.
There are 3 age divisions — ages 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10 — with 8 teams in each division. You can sign up your individual child or a 3-person team by filling out the form below. Registration deadline is September 7, or when all spots are filled.
NOTE: All age divisions are now full.
Following the ball hockey games, we will host the Wildcats Fan Fest with a Wildcats player autograph session, bouncy castles, french fry truck & live music at the Avenir Centre Oval!
Cats Cup Rules
- All players MUST wear a helmet with facemask to play. Hockey gloves are also encouraged and, of course, bring your road hockey stick.
- Games are 12 minutes in length
- 3 players per team. Eight teams per division.
- Age divisions are 5-6, 7-8 & 9-10.
- Games are played 3 on 3.
- 3 points are awarded for a win. 1 point for a tie.
- The teams with the most points in each division will go to the final.
- In case of a tie, we will look at the goals for and against differential.
- Games are played with orange hockey ball
- No slapshots. Goals will not count if scored with a slapshot.
- No off-side.
- The referee in place will make the calls.
- The goal for this tournament is to have FUN!
