Sea Dogs add four free agents to training camp roster
SAINT JOHN – The Saint John Sea Dogs announced on Thursday that the team has invited four additional free agents to training camp. Forwards Alexis Brisson, Mathis Cloutier, and Luca Aziz along with defenceman Xavier Delage are all expected to attend the team’s 2023 training camp, which begins August 18th.
Brisson is a former third-round pick of the Rimouski Oceanic and has played 134 games in the QMJHL. The Montreal, Quebec native posted 11 goals and 22 assists for 33 points in 51 games with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada last season.
Cloutier, a product of Mirabel, Quebec, spent time last season with the Shawinigan Cataractes and the Val-d’Or Foreurs finishing with 11 goals and 21 assists for 32 points in 56 games. He also previously played two seasons with the Moncton Wildcats.
Aziz, 17, totaled nine goals and seven assists for 16 points in 42 games with the Lac St-Louis Lions in the Quebec Under-18 Hockey League this season.
Delage was selected in the seventh-round of the 2020 QMJHL Draft by the Charlottetown Islanders. The 19-year-old suited up for 25 games in the QJHL last season split between the Princeville Titans and the Cégep Beauce-Appalaches Condors finishing with two goals and nine assists.
