15 former Sea Dogs featured on season opening AHL rosters
SAINT JOHN – The American Hockey League’s 2023-24 regular season schedule gets underway Friday night with 15 former Saint John Sea Dogs players featured on season opening rosters.
Belleville, AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators, leads the way with three Sea Dogs alumni on their roster while four clubs, the Bridgeport Islanders, Calgary Wranglers, Colorado Eagles, and the Laval Rocket trail with two each. A total of nine members of the 2022 Memorial Cup winning team are set to suit up in the AHL this season along with five players that were part of the 2017 President’s Cup championship.

Bridgeport Islanders: William Dufour, Vincent Sevigny
Calgary Wranglers: Jeremie Poirier, Yan Kuznetsov
Charlotte Checkers: Riley Bezeau
Colorado Eagles: Spencer Smallman, Cedric Pare
Laval Rocket: Zachary Emond
Ontario Reign: Ryan Francis
Providence Bruins: Jakub Zboril
Toronto Marlies: William Villeneuve
Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins: Raivis Ansons*
