Breakaway for Books
We are excited to have partnered with Provincial Credit Union to once again be offering our Breakaway for Books Program for the 2024/25 season! This program is designed to help teachers encourage students in grades 1-6 to pursue literary success both in and out of the classroom.
How it works:
- The program runs from September – March
- Classes will be mailed a Breakaway for Books bookmark for each student.
- Each evening that a student completes a reading achievement, parents will sign the back of the bookmark.
- After earning ten signatures, students will return the bookmark to their teacher to receive a certificate of achievement signed by Islanders Head Coach Jim Hulton and a complimentary ticket to an upcoming
Charlottetown Islanders regular-season home game to celebrate their success. - There is no limit on how many bookmarks students can submit.
Please note:
- Registration is open from Sept. 5th – Sept. 16th, 2024
- Any registration after Sept. 16th will not be accepted.
- All registration must be submitted using the form linked below. Any registration by phone, email, or social media will not be accepted.
- Registration does not confirm a player visit. Nine (9) Classes will be chosen at random for visits on the dates listed on the registration form.
