Sprong undergoes successful surgery
Pittsburgh Penguins executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford announced today that Charlottetown Islanders forward Daniel Sprong underwent successful right shoulder surgery.
Sprong was injured during practice while serving as one of the ‘Black Aces’ during the Penguins’ Stanley Cup championship run.
As a result, Sprong is expected to be out of action for 7-to-8 months.
