Islanders 2 and 0 on road trip after win in Sherbrooke

After an overtime win in Gatineau on Friday to kick off the Quebec road trip, the Islanders were back at it in Sherbrooke on Saturday.

Francois Beauchemin scored his 30th, while Daniel Sprong scored his 3th and 4th of the season in the 3-0 win. All three goals came in the second period.

Matthew Welsh was in goal and stopped all 26 Sherbrooke shots en route to his 3rd career shutout.

Final shots on goal were 40-26 for Charlottetown.

Game 3 of this 3-in-3 for the Islanders is Sunday at 4:00 AST when they take on the Voltigeurs in Drummondville.
