CHL Playoffs on Sportsnet: North Bay at Guelph
TORONTO (May 8, 2014) Sportsnet’s coverage of the 2014 Canadian Hockey League playoffs continues on Friday Night Hockey as the North Bay Battalion take on the Guelph Storm in Game 5 of the Rogers Ontario Hockey League Championship Series on Friday, May 9 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific.
The Storm currently lead the series 3-1 following a 10-1 win in Game 4 on Wednesday night in North Bay. The winner of the series wins the OHL league title and the J. Ross Robertson Cup, as well as a berth in the 2014 MasterCard Memorial Cup.
Elsewhere in the CHL Playoffs the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and Val-d’Or Foreurs are tied 2-2 in their best-of-seven QMJHL Championship Final following a 4-3 overtime win by the Drakkar on Wednesday, and in the WHL Finals the Portland Winterhawks and Edmonton Oil Kings are also tied 2-2 following a 2-0 victory for the Oil Kings on Wednesday.
This week’s Friday Night Hockey playoff broadcast features host Jeff Marekin-studio with HOCKEY CENTRAL analysts John Shannonand Damien Cox. Rob Faulds will be front and centre, hosting live from the Sleeman Centre in Guelph, ON, alongside play-by-play announcer RJ Broadhead and analyst Sam Cosentino.
