To complete your profile, you will need an email address. Volunteers will be required to complete an online Volunteer Profile. We will use email to communicate. Remember: you may want to adjust your privacy settings on your email account so that the emails do not go into your junk folder. Most emails will be coming from [email protected] so be sure to put it in your “safe” list. Please do not ‘unsubscribe’ or you will miss out on important information sharing and newsletters. Mark the page as one of your favorites for easy return.
Is there a minimum number of hours to commit to volunteering?
Yes, we are requesting all volunteers commit to a minimum of 8 hours.
Is there a minimum age to volunteer?
Yes, all volunteers must be 16 years of age by May 21, 2026. Please note, there may be some volunteer positions which will require volunteers to be 21 years of age (working with alcohol, driving). Some exceptions may be made to this, please contact [email protected] if you have any questions.
Will a Criminal Record Check be required?
If you choose to volunteer in certain areas, you may be required to complete a criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, or driver’s abstract before starting your volunteer duties. This is a standard practice to ensure the safety and protection of vulnerable individuals.
I’ve already had a CRC completed as a part of my job/other volunteer experience. Do I have to do it again?
Yes, each activity is separate.
What roles are currently available for volunteering?
Volunteer opportunities will be made available in the spring of 2026 once event schedules and needs are finalized. This date will be shared after the Volunteer Orientation. Please click here to view opportunities.
How many volunteers are being recruited?
At this time, the goal is 500 volunteers, will recruit until all volunteer shifts have been filled.
Will there be a self-scheduling component to this registration system?
Yes, most roles will be self-scheduling.
Will orientation and training be provided?
Yes, all volunteers will receive general orientation & training which is mandatory prior to being assigned or scheduled. If any of the positions you sign up for requires additional training, you will receive the training as required.
Will photo accreditation be required for volunteering?
Yes, when you create your volunteer profile, you can upload a picture of yourself! To try to prevent any issues, please ensure it is a headshot that looks like you look now, that it is a .jpg and less than 3 MB in size. If possible, a white background would be best.
If I volunteer, am I able to watch the games for free?
No, the only way to watch any of the 2026 Memorial Cup presented by Kubota games will be to purchase tickets.
My group currently volunteers for Kelowna Rockets games. Will we be needed (50/50 sellers, off-ice officials, ushers, etc.)?
You will be notified by the Kelowna Rockets if there is a need.
Where can I purchase a ticket package for the 2026 Memorial Cup presented by Kubota?

Will there be a survey and appreciation reception for volunteers after the event is over?
Yes, all volunteers will be asked to complete a short online questionnaire and be invited to an appreciation reception.
What is the volunteer uniform?
You will be given a uniform for the 2026 Memorial Cup presented by Kubota logo. Note, these garments will be distributed at the mandatory training and orientation session in the Spring of 2026 – date TBC.
Please wear black pants/bottoms.
