KEEGAN KOLESAR AND MATHEW BARZAL HAVE HUGE NIGHT IN THUNDERBIRDS 7-2 WIN
Keegan Kolesar scored three goals to pick up the hat-trick and lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a dominant 7-2 victory over the Brandon Wheat Kings. New York Islanders prospect Mathew Barzal was a play-maker all over the ice as he recorded five assists and a plus-4 rating to claim first star honours. Seattle finished the game 2-5 on the power play with Brandon going 1-4 on the man advantage. Seattle has posted a record of 8-1-1-0 over their last 10 games.

HURRICANES 4, ROYALS 3 (SO)
The Lethbridge Hurricanes came out on top in a back-and-forth affair with the Victoria Royals by a score of 4-3. With the game tied at three goals apiece, a shootout was needed to determine a winner and it was forwards Egor Babenko and Tyler Wong each scoring a goal to secure the win for Lethbridge. Royals forward Dante Hannoun buried a pair of goals to give him six for the season in a losing cause.
