Home opener, Subway Super Series and pre-season tickets available August 30th!

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Royals today announced that tickets to the team’s 2012-13 WHL regular season home opener, 2012 Subway Super Series and September 15th home pre-season game will be available for purchase on August 30th at 9:30 a.m. through the Select Your Tickets Box Office.

Tickets to all three events, as well as all Royals’ regular season home games, will be available to the public on August 30th at 9:30 a.m. by way of a random line policy. Customers can purchase their tickets in-person at the Select Your Ticket Box Office, online at www.selectyourtickets.com or by phone at 250-220-7777. Fans will also have the opportunity to beat the box office at the Victoria Royals’ Intersquad game as tickets for these events will be available at the Select Your Tickets inside windows, located in the concourse of the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. The Intersquad game will mark the completion of Royals’ 2012 Training Camp with puck drop scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29th. Admission to the Royals’ Intersquad game is by donation at the doors.

Season Ticket Holders will have a pre-buy opportunity for these three events beginning on Wednesday, August 15th and running until Tuesday, August 28th. Season Ticket Holders that take advantage of the two week pre-buy period will have the opportunity to purchase their season seats at a discount of up to 50% off walk-up ticket rates.

The Royals’ ticketing department is also proud to announce two new promotions. Individuals purchasing new season tickets in the month of August will receive complimentary tickets, for their seats, to the 2012 Subway Super Series. Also, current Season Ticket Holders who refer a friend to get season tickets will get their Subway Super Series tickets at no charge as well as a Royals’ windbreaker. The new account must not have had 2011-2012 season tickets.

August 30th single-game tickets, including Victoria’s 2012 home opener on September 22nd, and the 2012 Subway Super Series tickets will be available for as low as $12. Group rates will also be available for groups of 10 or more, starting at $11 per ticket.

The September 15th pre-season game sees the Royals host the Vancouver Giants with puck drop scheduled for 2:05 p.m. at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. All tickets for this pre-season clash will be $5 with partial proceeds from ticket sales donated back to local charities.

Victoria will play host to the 2012 Subway Super Series on Thursday, November 15th. This year’s series marks the 10th consecutive year that regional teams of CHL All-Stars will compete against the Russian National Junior Team as part of a six-game series. The first two games of the series will be hosted by the QMJHL beginning November 5th, 2012, followed by two games in the OHL before the series wraps up with two games in the WHL. The Subway Super Series is an integral part of the identification process for Team Canada prior to the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship which will be played in Russia next season.

The Royals will kick off their 2012-13 home schedule on September 22nd when they will host the Vancouver Giants at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Season tickets and mini-packs are now on sale.
